Duties
You will evaluate, diagnoses and treats the full range of patients with disorders.
You will utilize diverse and complex therapeutic techniques, or combinations of techniques.
You will formulate behavioral health interventions, appropriate to a primary care setting, and assists with the implementation and monitoring of treatment plans.
You will provide targeted assessment and evaluation, including diagnostic impressions and functional status focused on the presenting problem.
You will use objective and measurable outcomes to evaluate treatment effectiveness and make adjustments, if appropriate, for increased compliance and efficacy.
You will be responsible for generating and maintaining a variety of clinical records and reports in keeping with pre-established criteria and reviewing clinical records for quality assurance purposes, providing quality assessment data as requested.
You will provide consultative opinions to other health professionals on many patient support topics.
You will serve as a member of various designated multidisciplinary treatment teams and makes treatment recommendations to other providers.
You will frequent shipboard visits to meet with, and provide consultation to, shipboard medical personnel and leaders as a member of Command Resilience Teams.
You will exercise full professional responsibility for their findings, interpretations, decisions, recommendations and reports; and keeps abreast of new concepts and techniques and applies them as appropriate.
You will provide real time feedback and prognosis as well as to better understand the Sailor’s work environment and stressors.
You will prepare briefings and articulately delivers them to high-level uniformed and civilian officials.
You will use the knowledge of the instructional skills and interpersonal rapport to effectively teach and supervise trainees.

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
You will be required to perform occasional sea duty.
You will be required to possess and maintain a current Clinical Social Worker (LCSW or LICSW) state certification.
You will be required to obtain and maintain an immunization on an annual basis against influenza.
You will be required to obtain and maintain appropriate immunization against communicable diseases unless a current immunization, a protective titer, or a medical exemption is documented.
You will be required to obtain and maintain a Basic Life Support certification.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a licensed clinical social worker utilizing treatment modes and programs to evaluate, diagnose or provide clinical services for patients with psychological disorders for successful mental health services compliance and efficacy within an organization.

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess:

Degree: Social work. Must fulfill all of the requirements for the master’s degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
Master’s degree with practicum: Applicants who complete all of the requirements for a master’s degree in social work that included a practicum.

In addition to basic education requirement, applicant must have completed an approved clinical social work internship, required post-degree supervised clinical activity, and possess a current valid, unrestricted state license for independent practice level as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
