Duties

  • Serve as subject matter expert and manager for the European Region on the development and execution of the Family Advocacy Program (FAP), Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) and Sexual Harassment and Response Program (SHARP).
  • Manage Region FAP Office of Secretary Defense (OSD) budget and serve as primary Contracting Representative (COR) for Region ACS FAP contracts.
  • Manage program compliance, identification, reporting, intervention, and treatment of child abuse and neglect, spouse abuse, domestic violence victim advocacy and the new parent support program.
  • Manage Emergency Placement Care Program and Problematic Sexual Behavior in Children and Youth program as part of the overall FAP program.
  • Provide expertise and guidance as a advisor to the IMCOM Europe ACS Director, and MWR Director and Regional Director on all matters relating to the prevention of spouse and child abuse, exceptional family member concerns and sexual assault.
  • Establish current and long-range program plans considering the mission of the installation, troop strength, budget, staff, and facilities, which facilitates connections between families who have special needs and the systems of required care.
  • Responsible for independently planning, designing and carrying out actions to accomplish the Army Community Service mission.
  • Maintain fiscal data and/or service statistics for planning purposes and oversee preparation of special and/or recurring reports.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.

  • This position requires regular contact with children under the age 18 and a favorable determination of suitability to do so and periodic re-verification check of multiple agency records.
  • This position requires a valid, state-issued and USAREUR Driver’s License and must be insurable in order to travel to other locations in the Command’s structure.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • This position requires you to be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance of access for the duration of employment which includes a background investigation and credit check.
  • Must obtain Contracting Office Representative (COR) appointment within 6 months of arriving.
